My names Frankie Reese I’m an 18 year old sophomore at Dominican College from the great NYC and my passion is poetry. I’m currently pursuing my degree in English Ed and hope to one day teach English at the collegiate level. I’m so in love with the English language and wish to instill this drive for verbal excellence into the hearts of others. After English comes hip hop; I’ve been in love with hip hop since I can remember. It’s such a big part of my life and who I am. Through poetry I’m able to combine these two colossi and express the many intricate feelings and thoughts that run through my heart and mind. I’m very much expressive about what I feel and all of my poems are an expression of what is going on in my life. I fear not what the world has to say about me or who I am because I know who I will become. I’m getting places and it may take some time, but believe me I’m getting there. In the mean time and in between time I will be working on the magazine my friends and I are starting, writing more poems and kicking ass in school. I’m a huge Radiohead fan & an even bigger Jay Z fan and would LOVE to work with them someday. I’m still an itty bitty nobody in the poetry world and would love, need and appreciate all the exposure I could get- so tell a friend to tell a friend! Thanks for listening to me rant and rave.
